Jewellery Care

The best way to look after your silver jewellery is to wear it.  The natural oils on skin helps keep the silver in good condition.  Tarnishing can however occur over time, which is a natural process and usually occurs when items are left unworn and oxidises with the air, this can be removed by polishing your jewellery.

When you are not wearing your jewellery the best way to store is in an air-tight bag.  Every so often it is advisable to have your jewellery professional cleaned.

Tips to keep your jewellery in tip-top condition (and reduce the rate of tarnishing):

•         When you're not wearing your silver jewellery, store in an air tight bag to reduce air contact..

•         Avoid contact with chemicals  (i.e Perfume, lotions etc).

•         In water (i.e swimming/showering) take off your jewellery as moisture can also accelerate the             tarnishing process.

•         Take off when exercising and for sleeping.

Cleaning tips:

If your jewellery does become a little tarnished, it's easy to re-polish!

The free soft cloth you received with your order is great for a daily polish up to remove any fingerprints/smudges.  We do also sell Town Talk                                for that monthly extra spruce up (being impregnated with silver polish compound helps remove tarnish but will also protect against future tarnishing). You can use your polishing cloths on all our jewellery.
